Alan Laffoley

Alan Laffoley worked with STC Electronics Services for 12 years as a Senior Research Engineer.  Alan joined Akhter and was appointed to the Board as the Group Technical Director in 1985 where he is responsible for all the development and technical aspects of the group’s products. During this time Alan has gained more than 30 years’ experience in the high technology industry, and a wealth of knowledge in scope identification, problem solving and implementation across many major alternative energy projects within the UK and overseas.

Alan joined Akhter and was appointed to the Board as the Group Technical Director in 1985 where he is responsible for all the development and technical aspects of the group’s products. During this time Alan has gained more than 30 years’ experience in the high technology industry, and a wealth of knowledge in scope identification, problem solving and implementation across many major alternative energy projects within the UK and overseas.

Alan was also appointed Technical Director for Silicon CPV in 1994 where he is responsible for Silicon CPV’s extensive range of photovoltaics and hybrid photovoltaic energy solutions and installation of Silicon CPV’s major projects using his wealth of experience for timely delivery of major client designs and installations. Alan has a recognised qualification he is a certified ‘Prince2’ Project Manager which provides know how and experience for high performance projects.
